About the Opportunity

BEW is seeking Project Engineers to expand our capabilities in Independent Engineering of large scale Photovoltaic systems. The ideal candidate would be an engineer looking to apply his or her experience and engineering skills in solar energy in a wide variety of areas including PV system design and review. Specific duties include:

Review PV system designs including component selection, code compliance, site/installation considerations

• Develop energy production and O&M predictions
• Provide detailed reports including analysis of PV system installations
• Travel to site installations for PV system reviews
• Work directly with key customers to meet their requirements in a timely manner
• Some projects involve PV system design activities

This is a unique opportunity to work in a broad range of disciplines related to photovoltaic systems with a team of industry experts.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and 3+ years experience in solar photovoltaic systems
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including ability to write clear and detailed technical reports

Desired Qualifications

• Hands on experience with photovoltaic system installation and review
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL), , PV simulation tools (e.g., PVSYST, PV Watts), Solar industry installation and construction practices
• Advanced engineering degree
